How often should you have your boiler serviced?

There is no hard and fast rule about regularly you should get your boiler serviced.

Most boiler manufacturers suggest a full annual boiler service.

Annual boiler servicing may not be necessary if you have a newish heating system.

But the older the boiler, the greater the need for servicing it because older boiler parts are at greater risk of failure.

Some central heating engineers believe that open flue gas appliances carry more risk than balanced flue appliances. This means that you could probably have balanced flue boilers serviced every 18 months or two years and still have a good degree of assurance that you gas boiler is safe.
