Does your boiler or gas appliance need servicing?
Regular gas safety checks can make sure that gas boiler problems don't crop up.Sometimes however you can tell if a gas appliance has a problem on the way.
Tell tale signs that a gas appliance might be about to go wrong include:
- the pilot light going out regularly
- the flame on the pilot light is less robust than usual or partly coloured yellow or orange
- there is evidence of soot or staining on the boiler
- it's usually cheaper;
- it's definitely safer;
- and you're less likely to be without gas central heating or hot water if the inevitable happens.
