Does your boiler or gas appliance need servicing?

Regular gas safety checks can make sure that gas boiler problems don't crop up.

Sometimes however you can tell if a gas appliance has a problem on the way.

Tell tale signs that a gas appliance might be about to go wrong include:

  • the pilot light going out regularly
  • the flame on the pilot light is less robust than usual or partly coloured yellow or orange
  • there is evidence of soot or staining on the boiler
It's always a good idea to get boilers fixed as soon as possible because:

  • it's usually cheaper;
  • it's definitely safer;
  • and you're less likely to be without gas central heating or hot water if the inevitable happens.
